Thanks Macey. It’s probably a loose connection. As lewis describes the unman appearing like a mandrill (thus “shifting” his appearance) it brought me back to Shift from the last battle. Shift dons royal clothing and a cheap paper crown and tells the other Narnians that he is a man. I’m always looking for those loose threads which tie Lewis’ characters and themes together :) thanks for reading.
